Since being here last. I have another Grand Daughter, Helena Kaylyn- June 30 2010....
I am still me-

thinking and trying to figure out what really happens in life that makes it that really cool journey that some feel they have lived right.

I still have yet to conquer the smoking habit that I so hate to have.

I have had children move in and out since I was here last and let me tell you the moving out is just as hard as the moving in is!
I DO miss each of you, my faithful readers, my friends, my confidants! I hope to really get with it this year and do something great!
Lets hope I can build up the pure courage to follow through....

Jackie, you know- Shinade... Well she asked me to start blogging again and I wish I could promise that I would, it's just -well Life gets in my way. I could use this blog as my canvas and with my life stories I could paint a real picture, you see my life is just so over whelming right now... I am leaving soon, as in this weekend, to go to my home town to see my family, by the time I get there it's very possible the only Brother in Law I have that I actually like, will be dead. You see he has Lung Cancer - has for the past 4 1/2 years. He's a real fighter that one. I don't know why God has kept him around so long except to do something he had not done yet, or perhaps to learn a lesson he needed to learn, Maybe even to teach us others a lesson, but none the less he is now fading fast and time is short.....
He's one of the reasons I love Credence clear water revival... My Sister him and me used to listen to that and dance and sing all the time... some of my fondest memories are of times with them.....
Jerae this is for you, my friend.......

I swear the east coast of Florida has the BEST sunrise any where is the world. Yes I am partial and yes I know it, but hey: when you've got it flaunt it!

Just when I think this Blogging is easy my computer makes it hard again! I have been trying to edit this for a few days now to get it ready and I just keep having wardrobe malfunctions!
So on to the beauty of the day.....

Olga and I decided to get up really early one morning and go with Georg fishing... Well it was early for Olga, for me; I get up before the roosters crow so I have seen plenty of sunrises....

Ahhhh Just another Florida sunrise.....

Always up for the best poses in the world she flung herself on this branch and said: "I'm not leaving this beautiful place until you show my fans (sigh) what a bra dropping time I'm having here! Sooooo, Olga HAD to show off her lacy assets in this one of a kind moment (she made me say that, sigh again).... What I wanna know: is this all she knows how to do? I mean really every passer by is fascinated with her double D travel experiences....

I added this as my status on face book the other day. I don't know why, it's just sometimes I feel like throwing my hands in the airs and saying"Sometimes!" Have you ever felt that way?

SO on to OLGA!
Olga notices the most artsy fartsy stuff I have..

Olga is being such a good companion! Not getting into too much trouble, being ever so helpful to the ailing me.... Now if we could get my Son to watch his pea's and cue's :-D

So we get ready to leave my house and Olga is yelling let me out of here (she sleeps in a cute little travel purse) I wanna feel the air in my lace!
So I said to her, fine but you will have to ride in Bella's car seat because, well there was no real reason, I just wanted her to be safe!
She of course said "NO way" so we had to work something else out.....
This BRAwd is a DIVA, let me tell you!!!

So after much fuss and totally making a scene *rolling eyes here* Olga and I headed out to Daytona to do a few errands and low and behold we ended up at the Daytona speedway. Although we didn't see a race, (we were a few weeks late for that) we did have some racy fun in the parking lot!
I tried to get so many people to take a picture with this bodacious BRAwd, but you know people, they're so suspicious! I did hand out Olga's calling cards and people giggled at them. No one threw them on the ground I noticed as I walked back to my truck, hey that's a plus because if they had of we might be doing this at the jail as inmates for littering LOL. So although we didn't ever manage to get inside the tunnel to turn 4 we had a pretty bra dropping time!
I'm sure Olga's blog mistress will be happy to hear about this fun time had by all!

Well..... wait and see, but you will notice I am quite the Photographer * patting myself on the shoulder* of course it could be that the east coast of Florida is the most BEAUTIFUL place in the world....

Sugar has the BEST Husband in the world... This was delivered to me and was a total surprise from my husband of 20 years!

First of all I'm sorry to Fuel My Blog and the Steviva people for this being delayed so long, My Dear Mother in Law is very ill. She has 4 Brain tumors and possible lung Cancer. My heart breaks as I write this. So you see I had honestly forgot about this review until I got a email asking about it.
So now....... I bring you Steviva

I have to say, I still think most sugar substitutes are in the same playing field these days and I think the difference in them; is the opinion that the individual shares about them.
I agreed to write this review; I was NOT paid to do it, I give this opinion freely......
I have Type 2 Sugar Diabetes as many of you know (I gripe about my health enough that everyone should know) Any who, I'm always on the look out for a substitute for sugar, butter anything that will help keep my numbers in the right place. I'm often let down as I haven't found anything that really taste like sugar, that isn't cane sugar. I can say the same about butter and margarine- real is real and they just try to hard to make it seem like the real thing.
So when the Steviva products arrived, I held the same old feelings that this would be another let down. But let me tell you, I really enjoyed the granulated product (Fructevia). It tastes most like sugar and as I rolled it around on my tongue I thought of sugar. Now I will NOT tell you that the Stevia Powder tasted good, because it did NOT! As a matter of fact the first thing that happens when you open the bottle is a wave of powder that sticks to your throat and lungs like a lining of something nasty and unforgettable. I have to say that this isn't the first time that has happened to me when using a powdered form of a sugar substitute, I'm sure part of that comes from the fact that the Stevia Powder has NO fillers in it so it's just the raw sweetener, which is by the way 100% pure it says. I think the best part about the Steviva Powder was the nifty little scoop that came in the bottle! I guess I would say that I will use the Fructevia but, I will not buy or use the Steviva powder- I just did not like the aftertaste or the feeling I got from that stuff!
An after thought here: I read the back of the Steviva Powder bottle and was impressed to find that Stevia is concerned about our environment, GO Steviva!!

OK, so I'm not as good at getting the posts out as I used to be. I'm so tired sometimes, I think I could fall asleep anywhere... well maybe NOT anywhere because, If I was on the floor, I couldn't fall asleep and I know that for a fact! I have been in a mood as of late, It's not bad, it's not good, It's just a mood. I am not unhappy nor am I jumping around singing Tra la la la either. I'm just in a mood. I have so much swirling around in my head that some days I just sit and think about all the great stuff I could write, then I sit here, at my desk and draw a blank.....
I wonder why and how that happens, I feel some days I'm wasting away to the dust I'll one day become. That's a shame for sure...
I'm one of the kinds of people that has to have a clean house to be creative. I have to have a comfortable chair to write and I have to have a smile on my face to be funny....
I can say with a straight face: that my house is clean, what I can't say is that: I'm happy with the degree of clean it is.
My computer desk chair broke a while back and I haven't came off the bucks to buy a new one sooooo my bum isn't to happy about the one I'm using lately LOL, that has allot to do with the fact I don't blog as much. I am eccentric at the very least when it comes to desk chairs, so the newest one out on the market just won't do! I have to have an older model that has the lived in look to feel comfy! I need to go to the local Goodwill Shop and look around, maybe a less picky person is getting rid of one of these babies and I can Score!
I try and keep the smile on my face as much as possible, but with my health issues and of course my Husbands, I have not had the good luck with that. The world and it's troubles worry me, the economy of course worries me, I mean really who isn't worried when you hear every single day more people are losing their jobs and gas prices are going up, etc. I still try and laugh because I think that alone makes things better! Life is hard, not just for me, but for all.
I worry that people don't think about their actions, such as the people having the super huge families while living on welfare, without one thought to the over population of the earth and her resources.... It bothers me when I read of parents killing their children, why I ask myself, I never once in all the hard times I've had, would I ever think of doing that! I just don't understand.
My Husband can't balance his check book- He's super good at math, so it shouldn't be a hard task. He refuses to accept that he has made a mathematical mishap! I, on the other hand, have no worries in this department as I have a whopping 5 bucks in mine LOL! I'm covered for sure!

Week of:February 14Th.....
I got the BEST gift for Valentines day! My Valentine gave me a gold chain with a heart pendant on it, the heart has a diamond in it! Drool ladies, I know I am LOL.
I am 50 years old/young it's the first time in my life anyone has given me a piece of jewelry for Valentines day... And it fits-Woot!
My Valentine also took me out to dinner and was exceptionally sweet all weekend.....
I also got a box of chocolates from my sweetie pie Son and a card! I hope your Valentines Day was as splendid as mine was!

First I would like to say : Thank You Fuel My Blog for giving me this opportunity, You guys are such sweet people who always keep us Bloggers well taken care of, informed and offer some of the most rewarding experiences that I, for one, have ever had on the Internet!
I would also like to thank Smooth Away for the use of their product....
Here we go:
A review of the product Smooth Away.....
I was all giddy inside when I saw the package, Oh what could it be, I asked myself. I had forgotten I had offered to test a new product over at FMB. When I opened the package I must admit I said:Oh My God, SAND PAPER! (I thought it was a waxing product) I read the pamphlet that came with the product and they assured me it wasn't ordinary sand paper but, Super fine Crystals. Here is a FAQ on the product, taken from their website. I read the instructions first and I noticed it said: Warning if you have Sugar Diabetes DON'T use this product.... I have type 2 Sugar Diabetes, so I did what was expected of me and tried it anyways... I didn't rub hard and perhaps I thought, that was the problem, so I asked my handy dandy helper to try it. She did and the smooth away worked but, left her skin raw and irritated. I think she may have rubbed really hard....
All in all it works, but I am thinking waxing or shaving may be just as useful. It really depends on what you, the shave-e want to use. It's not a bad product and they don't mislead you at all, so I give it a thumbs up even if it's not for me!

I am not trying to ram my opinions down others throats, but, if just one person overcomes old ways of thinking and learns to love the human race, not A race, then I feel good. Life is to short to fight and bicker, so Love one another and laugh at silly things. Be happy even if you think you have nothing to be happy about. Laughter spreads like wild fire and makes things so much better..... so LAUGH!

Well the house is slowly coming alive again. I have Miss B right now so it has stopped for the moment, but will resume as soon as she goes home today.
It seems, we here in the south, are suffering a cold front from the north and let me tell you my bits are freezing! I awoke this morning to freezing temps! Yes I'm cold! After all those months of bitching about being hot, I am now freezing ma patudy off! For some reason, your thyroid controls the A/C- Heater in your home and you (I) can never feel just right.... Hmmmm
I had a Doctors Appointment yesterday and she says I now have to endure nerve conduction tests on my lower half, wonder if it's changed in the long years since I've had that done, doubt it. Can we say painful and shocking! She thinks it may be a combination of my discs and a Sugar Diabetes leg condition, Well I told her I had to leave my job and she said that made since, but that claiming Social Security disability would be long and suffering at the very least, but that it would happen, maybe years from now.... I'm ready, I'm ready, as Sponge Bob says......
Oh well, if nothing else I just will have to cut back on some of the things I enjoy that are not a necessity, It's all good.....

I seem to have become a Blogger's wasteland, I will have to work on that. There are still people that come to visit and they are for sure the people I enjoyed reading and laughing with anyways.
I'm just saying, LOL.
I now have to decline some comments as they are for sure spam, I never had that problem before, shows you what going away for a rest can do for you LOL LOL!

Friday I will quit my job and be a home body again. I can no longer work.
I will try to become an active blogger again, I will not promise, but I will try. I miss you- my readers, I miss all the love and laughter that has always been there for me. I will also get back to painting, sewing, beading and scrap booking, now if I could just make money doing it!
But most of all I will have to honor of making My Grand Daughters 2 nd Birthday cake next month... yep she will be 2 the 3rd of Feb!
OK now to get my house in order!

The last time I wrote was..... well a long time ago. I'm sure I have people that look in and check to see if my brain has began working again or if I'm still on permanent vacation. I'm sorry to say the juices still are not there and I'm just a tad bit to tired from running the walls and floors of W*mart's bakery to sit down and think about what I could possibly tell you that you'd really want to hear. I am still a packager and will probably remain that until I drop dead in the place or I can walk on water, the water walking will never happen- I assure you, LOL....
I did get a .25 cent increase to my measly wages and it mystifies me at W*marts profits and how they justify paying us what they do BUT, In fairness to them I said "yes" to their proposal and so I'm doomed to a life of pauperdoom ( like that word, I just made it up! aren't I clever) ... It's all about the mighty dollar and how it can be given and taken all in the same breath, of course with customer service in mind all the way. I can't be out of work, but work isn't doing it for me either.... What to do, that seems to be a question on every one's mind these days! I am the second income in this family well if you don't count Will and Erin, They are after all our Children and both adults, so it doesn't count as someday they will more than likely move out, get married and have a life of their own.... Well that's the way it works (according to others I've talked to). Until such time happens I am very happy to have them here because Will is just a peach to watch in action ( LOL) and Erin, well if I didn't have Erin right now, my other 1/4 (husband) would crawl up in a ball and die of starvation or dirty house syndrome, which ever came first!
As you can tell, things are just ducky here!
My health is still on my mind but I vowed not to whine this time.... deep breaths!
I did NOT bake this year, I know it's a sin for sure but having to drag my a$$ around the kitchen and bake at the same time was just to much for this worn out woman to think about. I bought most of the goodies that were served at my holiday meals from the very bakery I work at, who would have thunk it a year ago!
Our family was truly blessed this Christmas season and we gave thanks.... Our Grand baby is the light of our lives I can assure you and when you get a load of the pictures of this Christmas you will see why all eyes are always on her and every little word she spouts makes us laugh! I always count my blessings, though maybe not as loudly as I should, but just this morning
I held my Darling Grand Daughter as she woke up from her slumber softly crying, I wondered how many more times I will hold her to kiss away her tears and hush her fears or to influence her to be a good person, to sing to her , to just be a grandma to her, A fear rushed over me that it may not be as long as I wish, while I'm sure all grand parents and parents alike, do this and I'm sure life is made to be lived and so off I go to live and to try to be the best that I can be at everything I do, I bid you peace in the new year, joy in all you see and love from all you meet....

At some point my body has begun the process of going on strike! I wish it would quit it, but I don't think that's gonna happen!
I have had some rather large health mountains to climb this last year as far as this old "house = body" is concerned, and just when I thought things were better, they turned out to be anything but better. I had Radio Active Iodine therapy for Graves Diease, I felt like a 20 year old for 3 months, so much that I went back to work in a Bakery- Walmart*. I love this job, but after working there for 2 months, I started swelling and going down hill fast. I went to the Doctor last week and they now believe that my Thyroid has officially died, and I need a synthetic hormone for it to get better.... I have a Doctors appointment Monday and Tuesday to find out and then to do something about it. I also have carpel tunnel in my left arm and hand and a bad, bad bacterial sinus infection, all I can say is, have you ever say a plum before it becomes a prune, I gained 9 pounds in 2 months running my litaral arse off 8 hours a day, I dont have time to sit much less to eat!..... I look like the biggest moon you ever saw! I also have swelling of the feet so bad that it feels like I am walking on pillows.... I had to remove my wedding ring for the first time in 20 years due to the fact I almost can't get it off and it was cutting into my finger. My blood pressure was so high my Doctor squealed and it was: NOT a pretty sight LOL she said OMG! If we don't get this down we might not have to worry about the rest of you...
But guess what, my Sugar count is 112 or below every day! LOL LOL LOL
Sorry for bitching, I am overwhelmed and scared at the same time, I cry at moments notice over anything.... I just don't get it!
I am just getting around to trying to decorate for Christmas, my Favorite Holiday, It's very sad..... I will not, for the first time in years, be making Christmas Cookies for friends and family or for Georg's Company and that makes me wish I didn't know how to bake, It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't feel so guilty for not doing it. I just don't have the strength.... I am falling apart at the seams.... I think of each of you often and hope life is good for you and that EACH AND EVERYONE of you have a Blessed and Healthy Christmas, I hope you get what you wish for and that you enjoy a prosperous New Year!!!

While Tuesday was my real Birthday, This Sunday is the day we are celebrating it! I am having a party with friends and family, I think it's gonna be a real great party! I wish each of you could join us....
OK, so as many of you have noticed I have been absent for awhile. well, I have a new job!
I am a bakery worker in one of the largest bakeries in the USA, Wal-Mart. I love my job, I Think I'll probably retire from there someday, years from now....
I package bakery products and at times get to work on cakes and stuff. I like my Boss, I like my coworkers and I even like the fact that I'm dead tired when I leave work, the best part is I get paid for all the love!
I have found that if you love the smell of fresh baked breads and cookies you should come join us! The lovin that comes from the oven all day, everyday at my store, is to die for. The training alone that I am receiving, is by far better than anywhere I have ever worked.
If you're looking for a fast pace, lots of laughter and great smells, Come on, Join the team!
Wal-Mart gets a bad rap most days but I swear I think they are the best!

On another note, as many of you know I have had some health issues this year that have been hard to deal with, They are under control now and I have never felt better. My Sugar is finally the best numbers yet, most days it's 108, after it being in the 300's I feel I have really done well to get this under control!

I reloaded Windows XP this morning and I am happy to say, I did it right this time, Yeeeehaw! So very glad when a plan works!

Found a really wonderful Blog this afternoon: Martha Stewart baby! I love Martha and won't stand for rude remarks so keep a lid on it! LOL
I was reading her posts about her Mother and her beloved Paw Paw's passing, I had tears. She really is a good person....

My favorite month is coming, October! I will be 50, Oct. 21...

I don't usually get into political debates, I stick to my self and savor the right to freedom of choice and freedom of speech... On that note I will tell you: today I stand here and use my freedom of speech and to choice to cast my vote for Barack Obama. I take this choice sincerely and with great thought.

I ask you to read his "Blueprint for change" booklet and ask yourself if more than one of his thoughts haven't crossed your mind at least once... I am willing to bet that it has.

My vote will be with the only clear choice I see :

Wow just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, life happened.

I had to rush Georg to the hospital at 2AM Wednesday, He was in severe pain. After 2 days in the hospital they found out he has 2 herniated Disc's in his back which are both leaking fluid. I can't tell you how sorry I am for him that he has to deal with this, But, How glad I am that it wasn't something worse! Georg of course worries about things like money and his job. I worry about his health and his life.

I guess I could get him this wheel chair LOL....

Really with some therapy and some drugs things WILL work out!

With a little help and some tape, I whipped my computer back into shape! I really bought a new Windows XP disc and since I am a total dumb ass, I now have a issue with 2 instances of windows, one works and one does not, I'm sure with time I will figure out how to rid myself of the other copy since it is eating all my memory... If you know of a fix please help!

I am always thinking of other Bloggers when I write my post for the day and since 2 of my Favorite men ARE Bloggers, I give you 2 pictures that made me think of them....

I can't tell you the hell a computer crashing causes! Number 1- I hate Technorati- I keep asking for help finding my password and the assholes keep sending the same non working email to me, does a real live asshole work there???? WTF- seriously!
I love FMB but even they have not responded to my email...I tried getting my Road Runner password for my mail but they say I don't have an account- for Gods sake I was getting emails from them for 4 f-ing years and I don't have an account? I lost a few files of pictures that I had just downloaded... Thank God I had backed up most of my pictures! The key words here are: back up, back up and back up some more!
I have so much that's lost, I dare not think to long before I start tearing up.... I just don't know what caused the crash but since it's happened I've had to use Georg's laptop, a feat in its own right! He has a loose cord and the battery doesn't hold a charge for very long.. Not to mention the " what ever you do don't download anything on my computer... " He says nonstop... I miss my computer so much it hurts... God that sounded like it came from a crack addict or something!
Well thats about all I can say about this subject...
If I were rich I would go out and buy a new one but I'm not so whine on is what I will continue to do...

I am in quarantine for 4 days... I had my radioactive iodine treatment Friday and have to stay away from my family and well everyone for the weekend.. So far it has been quiet but Georg has proven himself to be the wonderful Husband I knew I already knew I had! Talk about being treated like a Princess...
I was reading a blog earlier and they gave a really good hint along the lines of get rid of the clutter on your side bar, so you will notice that I have moved my awards and put them on their own page
called Sugar awards....I think this will increase the speed in which you see my Blog.

It's official , I'm pissed off at my computer and IF I wasn't using my wonderful, but sometimes not so understanding Husbands laptop, I'd be happy. [ by the way Honey, Happy freakin 19th. Anniversary!].. Here's a picture of the "post it noted PC"! Yes it's true I got really mad and wrote "post it note" angry messages and posted them all over the screen on my computer... *sigh*
It all started months ago with a small but irritating virus called silly, W T F, it's not so silly now!.... It ended with me like a dumb ass downloading service pack 3 for Microsoft Windows XP, Jerks! My computer keeps trying to boot and boot and boot, I guess there's a version out there that has some sort of error and I got it, don't know how because I always download from Microsoft... Grrrrrrr..........
I don't have a recovery CD and that just bytes my rear! Microsoft, Go play in Syrup and get stuck! Then I hope you boot and reboot so much that you attack your forehead with "Post It Notes"!

Well Fay is gone and we are still getting so much rain in the afternoon.... So much that this is what happened to my garage roof during Tropical pain in the ass Fay.....

Fay torments Florida for fifth straight day in a row!

First of all this is a Tropical Storm NOT a Hurricane....
Tropical storm Fay has shown herself to be very undecided! She has landed 3 times here in Florida and it is expected she will land 2 more times before she's finished. This is a true lesson that a storm doesn't need to be a strong storm to be bad.There are 2 more storms behind her that have not been named yet, pray that we don't feel the threat from them.
I'm showing you some videos and pictures of places around us that have been visited by Fay! We are now feeling the full force of this storm, it's pouring rain and is expected to continue into tomorrow. Wind gusts are up to 60 MPH. We have not had it too bad for the most part,But others have had it worse!
As I write this, my Son Will has been called into work to safe cranes and such, please think of him as he does the work behind the scenes that others do not think about.

David found that post and on a whim[ he didn't know if I was a kook or really me] he helped us reconnect, I will never forget him for helping me and Sheila reunite... ever.

Don't I look like a goober!

How y'all are? I'm moody, pissed off and sick every day.... Sorry but it's true.
My hands are springing leaks!
No really, they're sore from all the finger pokes I have to do now, But I'll live, I guess, at least for the moment.
I have been given medicine now for my Type 2 Sugar Diabetes. It has lowered my blood test results some ... and then again maybe not enough. I have a Doctors appointment July 22 and 29, I'll let you all know what happens.
I'm sorry I haven't got my grove back yet. I struggle most days just to feel well. My heart races, I'm sick to my stomach[ and I wont say any more on that] and I sweat like a sprinkler, it's out right disgusting! Hopefully they do something soon or else I may be writing from a cell soon, and I don't mean cell phone!

Now on to something better and much sweeter!

Happy Fourth of July for Americans...
Oh happy day for others~~

It's been a while since I've sat down to write, I have been poked and prodded more than any one person should be in the last few weeks, it has left me tired and miserable. (I also have a new key board I hate!) Now, I must self inflict pain to myself three times a day...They found out what gives and it is..... Sugar Diabetes and Hyperthyroidism....
While the normal person gives up sugar and things work out, I give it up and I'm all faintly and nauseous.... Could it be I really am a Sugar Queen and this is all a plot to take me down... LOL Who knows but I hate it. There are hundreds of sugar free foods out there and staying sugar free has never been easier, well if you're someone other than me. It's not what you might think, the cakes and pies.... No it's something much worse, I love my Iced coffee's and my soda... I don't want it without sugar, I want it full throttle!
Also other than my sugar revolting on me my thyroid has taken up arms and has threatened to storm the castle... If you don't know the symptoms of thyroid problems, I suggest you educate yourself, To a woman at my age (turning 50 in October) this may all hit you as old age- the change- But, It's a lot worse... Trust me!
There are several great sites that help you understand this condition, I will share with you one, Medicine net.
These are the symptoms :

Sudden weight loss, even when your appetite and food intake remain normal or even increase
Rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) — commonly more than 100 beats a minute — irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) or pounding of your heart (palpitations)
Increased appetite
Nervousness, anxiety or anxiety attacks, irritability
Tremor — usually a fine trembling in your hands and fingers
Sweating
Changes in menstrual patterns
Increased sensitivity to heat
Changes in bowel patterns, especially more frequent bowel movements
An enlarged thyroid gland (goiter), which may appear as a swelling at the base of your neck
Fatigue, muscle weakness
Difficulty sleeping

I have almost all of the symptoms and as I said I thought it was change of life... Whats bad about this, is it leads to other things if you don't get it cared for.

Hyperthyroidism can lead to a number of complications:

Heart problems. Some of the most serious complications of hyperthyroidism involve the heart. These include a rapid heart rate, a heart rhythm disorder called atrial fibrillation and congestive heart failure — a condition in which your heart can't circulate enough blood to meet your body's needs. These complications are generally reversible with appropriate treatment.
Brittle bones. Untreated hyperthyroidism can also lead to weak, brittle bones (osteoporosis). The strength of your bones depends, in part, on the amount of calcium and other minerals they contain. Too much thyroid hormone interferes with your body's ability to incorporate calcium into your bones.
Eye problems. People with Graves' ophthalmology develop eye problems, including bulging, red or swollen eyes, sensitivity to light, and blurring or double vision.
Red, swollen skin. In rare cases, Graves' disease also affects the skin, causing redness and swelling, often on the shins and feet.
Thyrotoxic crisis. Hyperthyroidism also places you at risk of thyrotoxic crisis — a sudden intensification of your symptoms, leading to a fever, a rapid pulse and even delirium. If this occurs, seek immediate medical care.

Go read about this... it's really important!

An update on, well ... me

If you've been reading my Blog you know that I have been having some health issues. I went to the Doctor and she had some tests done, I have high cholesterol [glad I love oatmeal], high blood sugar, high blood pressure and my thyroid isn't working correctly [I tried to tell them this, because I have the symptoms of thyroid problems, but she wouldn't listen!] I had to go back yesterday and let the Vampires draw more blood tests on it, the bitch and I mean *bitch* couldn't find my vein so she thought she would dig around in my arm, trust me I am not gentle when they do this, so I told her if she couldn't do it without hurting me, find someone else because I am about to go the *f word off on you!. I had a brain scan a week ago and have a appointment with a eye specialist Tuesday. I also have been having some leg cramps that I assure you, you wouldn't want! I am falling apart after just 49 short years and I am scared, scared that I wont be around to watch my beautiful Grand Daughter Bella grow up, scared I will die a painful and miserable death, scared I wont be able to do all the things I still have left to do. I have never once left this country and I have just started getting my passport done, well as soon as Flint Michigan will send my certified birth record to me!. I always thought that I would be healthy except for the smoking and the sugar... I was wrong, I have C O P D, with a little of all the different problems. I have to quit smoking, quit eating sugar, fat and well just about every thing I have ate for the past 49 years!
This is going to be hard to do and in the words of *Ming Ming* on wonder pets [ a kids show I watch with Bella] "This is serious!"

There has been a struggle blending back as a family structure here between me and Georg, I like the way I do things and he likes the way he does things.... It's hard for 2 strong minded people to be the leader with a follower, when both want the other to follow.... We will work it out just in time for him to go to the Dominican Republic, I'm sure!

We went to Saint Augustine yesterday. Some of the pictures I took, Some not. Some are from a trip there a few years ago, things don't change there much, I just forgot my camera.

Georg always takes a good picture, I, on the other hand look 3 feet tall and 3 feet wide! LOL

Today he goes and gets a pass port, wah hoo! I'm not happy about it but whats a girl to do. He will more than likely be going to the Dominican Republic....
He brought me a little gift! A brand new vacuum cleaner,, now some of you girls may think this isn't a very romantacle gift, but for me it signifies our ever lasting love together.... HA! really it is just the bomb! I love it and think a hundred roses wouldn't be half as great a gift!
We are going on a short holiday next weekend and that I guess would be more romantic. I'm secretly hoping we go to historic Savannah Georgia~~ I'm willing to wait in line for Paula Deens Lady and Sons!

No, we don't keep our kids in a cage down south, Sometimes they just land there purely by their own devices!! [Miss B has been trying to get into this cage since she learned to crawl, I forgot to latch it and off she ran and into the cage she landed!]
Tell me this isn't cute and I'll know you don't have little Children in your life!

Some of you know me as the down home girl who struggles inside with life's many issues and some of you know me as the funny girl who always seems to land on top, and even more of you know me as the Sugar Queen, the girl who tries more often than not, to spread love and sugar throughout the Blogging world, I'm somewhere close to the middle most days and that can sometime make me seem nuts. I have had some health issues lately that are taking me down a notch or 2 and sometimes I don't get into visit as much as I'd like to. So don't worry, It isn't you or me it's life!
Since My Cousin died so tragically of lung Cancer[ by the time she passed she had cancer everywhere just about] last week, I have been doing allot of soul searching lately and come up with some answers, Of course I will reveal them to you as time permits!
I have been worrying about my own demise, and of course there is my health, Georg being away from home and now the possibility that he will be going away to Dominican Republic, for gosh knows how long, let me tell you, all that takes a lot of time and energy, worrying..... Why, I'm tired just from thinking!
I went for a Blood Pressure check this morning, it was 140/64, of course when I checked it just 45 minutes later at Wal-Mart it was 156/96 again.... I don't fully understand that....

So on to funner things~~

One of the things I've been doing a lot of is reading, I used to read a book every 2 days when I was young and it took me places I had only dreamed of, I guess that's how it's s'pose to be really.
One of the many books I've dove into lately is "It ain't all about the cookin' " By that wonderful Southern Bell, Paula Deen. I must admit that before I read this book, I had grown tired of her growing southern twang and her shameful addiction to butter and her mispronounced words, it seemed to much of an act to me, but then who am I to judge. Well all that was until I read her book....
What a fighter she turns out to be and an awesomely real person! the first page she admits to her readers that she smokes and that shes tried to quit and failed, so much like the rest of us non quitters! She also admits that she uses not so lady like language, Ha! Just like me~~ And the best part is she doesn't apologise or make excuses, shes real and she hopes y'all will accept her just as she is, of course if y'all can't well then in the famous words of Flo on the old television sitcom "Y'all can kiss my grits"
She suffered from agoraphobia, fear of going outside, driving, death, etc. I have a friend who suffers from this and I swear to you, I really blew it off as something not very serious at all. I was so wrong and when I read Ms. Paula Deen's description of it, I finally understood what my Friend felt like! It's pretty bad when you have to read a book by a pretty famous person to understand something about a friend you've had for 9 years! I feel pretty bad about that.....
Any way I have a new found respect for Paula Deen and I really loved her book! Her life is a really amazing story.

I'm learning that just as Paula Deen says....
"It ain't all about the cookin, sometimes it's all about the sugar......."

OK I went to the Doctor... I have been put on meds for High BP and a few other things. I have to have a CT Scan of my brain, I'm not sure but they said it should be there... maybe. They are looking for a reason for the symptoms I'm having, figures they'd look there where I don't half a chance of passing any tests.... Really! Until then I'm not 'Spose to be on the computer much, so until I feel better I won't be on much... probably....

My word how time sometimes drags on! It has been a long 2 weeks since I last saw my Georg and our Son William. They are coming home this evening for 3 days and I am so happy I could burst! I miss my Sweetheart sometimes so bad I could cry, but I have always been a Wife who understood what sacrifices it takes when your Husband is at the top of his game. This next trip out will be a week and then he will be home for awhile! At least thats the plan!

I have a Doctors visit Monday, wish me luck... I have things to talk about with my Doctor and some are not good. I will worry later!
I figured that if I have to stop eating all the bad foods and such, I would have one last fling with a steak so here's my picture:My little Bella will be so happy to see her Grampy!

The Dash Between The Dates

Grave side services were over now.
Everyone had left and I was alone.
I began to read the names and dates
Chiseled here and there on every stone.

The name showed whether it was Mom or Dad,
Or daughter or baby son.

The dates were different, the amount the same,
There were two dates on every one.

It was then that I noticed something
Just a simple line.
It was the dash between the dates,
And placed there, it stood for time.

All at once it dawned on me,
How important that little line!
The dates placed there belong to God,
But the line in yours and mine.

It's God who gives this precious life,
And it's He who takes away;
But the line between He gives to us
To do with what we may.

We know He's written the first date down
Of each and every one;
And we're sure the hands will write again,
For the last date has to come.

The hands will write the last date down
Quite soon, perhaps, for some;
But upon the line between my dates and yours,
I trust He'd write, "Well done, well done!"

My Cousin Sandra Mattox passed away the 27 Th. of May of Cancer. I will miss her and remember all the good times we had as Children. She was 48. She had Children and a Sister and 2 Brothers..... Her Father, My Uncle Jim passed away a few years ago. My Heart goes out to her Mother, my Aunt Beula. I know the pain of a loss of a child no matter what the age.
Go rest high on that mountain Sandra, I love you........

Fried Pies

Food is something each of us holds near and dear to our hearts. We need food to survive but at times we need it to soothe our hearts and un-ruffle a bad day. There are loads of foods out there, some are really basic and some involve just the right amount of love to come out right, but a comfort food should be something that is as fun to make as it is to eat.....
When I was just a little girl my Mother and Grand Mother set me up for a life time of baking and cooking, I wouldn't know what I would be like if I didn't love to bake and cook as I do.I remember coming home from school some days and there would be all the tables they could get, filled with doughnuts rising, they would then fry them and glaze them and wow what a feast we would all have. Life is different now and most don't make doughnuts that way anymore. The memories I have of my childhood often relate back to food and family.
I think food is probably the one thing in life, other than music, that really spreads a feeling of warmth and love....
So for all of you I present a very low key but good, comfort food, one that's forgotten by most: Fried pies.....

Fried Pies
Pastry:
2 Cups Flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1/2 c shortening2-3 T ice water
Filling:
3 c dried apples or peaches
1 1/4 cuts boiling water
1/2 c sugar
1/4 t cinnamon1/4 t allspice
Powdered sugar
For pastry,mix flour, baking baking soda and salt together. Cut shortening into mixture. Add the water a little at a time.
Roll pastry dough into a ball and chill for an hour.
Roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into 56 inch circles.
For filling, cook fruit in boiling water until tender. Mash cooked fruit with sugar, cinnamon and allspice.
Spread each pastry circle with 2-3 Tablespoons fruit mixture. Moisten edges of crust and fold over. Press edges with a fork to seal.
Fry Pies in hot oil, drain and dust with powdered sugar.

Mama's Fried Pies
8 ounces dried peaches
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons margarine
1 homemade pie crust, recipe follows, or substitute with ready-made biscuit dough
Oil, for frying Cook fruit in water until tender. Drain and mix with sugar and margarine. Mash well. Refrigerate overnight if possible. Roll out homemade pie crust dough and cut into saucer-sized circles.

Spoon fruit onto circles and fold over into crescent shapes, then close the edges completely with a fork. Fry until golden brown. Place fried pies on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Variations: For baked pies, place crescents on a lightly-greased baking sheet in a 400 degree oven until golden brown.

For apple pies, use dried apples and add apple pie spice (or nutmeg and cinnamon) and vanilla to taste.

For prune pies, use dry, pitted prunes and add vanilla to taste.

Homemade Pie Crust:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Salt
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1/2 cup ice-cold water
Place the flour and a dash of salt in a mixing bowl. Add the shortening and cut it in with a pastry blender or use your hands, as I do. Add the water, a teaspoon at a time, kneading until the dough is smooth.

Yield: 1 pie crust

OK, So here we go.....
Most married couples never face this issue. Your wife/husband comes home every night and you have a large or small dinner, but its for at least 2. I am struggling to make dinner for 1... I used to eat sliced deli turkey and a coke or maybe a Boston Market TV dinner, I saw no reason to mess up dishes and well, a dish washer with 1 fork, 1 plate and a few pans seems almost shameful to run. I have been going this way for 3 weeks now and let me tell you I have really missed cooking for my Husband and Son. So being me and doing almost nothing small, I decided to cook this weekend. I have some pictures of some things I cooked. Some I got the end photo and some not but let me assure you, I have been eating very well for the past few days....

Last time Georg came home he brought me 4 pounds of shrimp, I finally made myself a batch! Where they yumO!
The cake, Y'all know I can't go a week without making something sweet. This is Lemon sour cream pound cake. It's to die for!
Someone, and I'm sure YOU are the best someone, gave this award to me ages ago. I didn't forget, just slipped my mind for awhile! Thank YOU!

Hi Y'all...
Wow, can you tell I'm from the south or what! I have no excuses for being absent other than I am lonely and lazy....Well plus, I am working on new beading projects. I have learned loom beading and I am afraid I am abusing my privilege with it! I also bought a new PC game and it has really saw that I become addicted to it. The game is Westward 2, It's so much better than Westward 1. I have found the sheep! Wha~hoo! There is this one quest that you have to go in to tornado valley... I have not beat that quest yet and am afraid I never will! Oh well I beat cooking academy in 2 days , so I'm stuck with Westward 2 until I beat it or I become so pissed my eyes pop out of their sockets!

Georg came home the 16TH. for a few days and let me tell you it was a bittersweet symphony when he left! On one hand I am the envy of many women who would pluck their eye teeth out for the freedom I have and on the other I would gladly have him home again. I hate nights alone, sleeping alone and well, even eating alone! On the other hand I love eating ice cream for dinner -in bed and also wearing my Jammie's all day! The thought that I have to deal with frogs visiting-EEK!, taking the dogs out at night alone (my mind plays tricks on me and I think someone is watching me) and dryers breaking down is enough to give up all the privilege I have been enjoying!
While Georg was home we celebrated our Daughter Jessica's 22 Birthday- I made the cake-Ooh yeah! I wish I would have made more butter cream , but that is an after thought.... I'm gonna show ya don't worry! I also made lasagna and garlic bread- It rocked!

Miss B isn't feeling really good right now, Gramps gave her his cold. I'm sure she will be fine just not her usual smiley self~~ Georg is heart Broken about this but like I say, who knows maybe it came from somewhere else and
My health isn't what I would like to say is good right now But, I get back my health Insurance June 1, So watch out Dr. A I will be descending on you like a swarm of bees... I'm sure you can't wait!
Well that was rude, my power just popped off! Thank God I have Firefox. It saved my work and restored my post!
So where was I , Well as I say my health is going down hills in more ways than one but I will keep with the program and can't wait to see my Doc!

I didn't so we will have to live with that fact!
OK what you're about to see will clear up any fogginess about me and my house. Well maybe, I'm not rich, I don't have Mercedes or anything like that. I am a country girl with a down home sense about me.
So I present to you my house:

My dry sink- full of dry stuff....
This china cabinet has all my memories of the kids and Georg and well also my massive collection of snow globes. The finger prints are Bella's she loves to touch stuff!
This is the chair I just HAD to have and have no place for it so I crammed it into the over packed living room!
Will's blue and yellow bathroom~~
Bella's room when she is older~~ Right now it houses Mothers and Mothers in Law when they come to visit~~
I have a growing collection of cookie jars. I love them! and I must love apples or else who would put a apple sign up in their kitchen, LOL
My sewing area, It needs work but I just don't know what to do with it yet. All the plastic boxes have beads in them. Thats my newest craft. Jewelry~~
My beading, painting, scrap booking sitting and thinking area~~
My kitchen, I love red, can you tell!!!
Dinning room, The china cabinet there actually has dishes in it LOL
My OVER stuffed and small living room, notice the flat screen Telly. Georg and I always wanted one so this past Christmas, that was our gift to us....
Over in the corner is Bella's play kitchen, it's in the way as Georg's stereo is stuffed in the corner, we have a beautiful cabinet for it that came all the way from Japan, but with Bella's toys in the way- what to do.....
My bedroom. Yes there is a hanger hanging from the fan- it's quite simple: I'm short and I can't reach the cord so I put a hanger on the cord, so I can turn it off without climbing....[smart girl and quite handy, yes I am]
The bed spread isn't what will go on there soon, I am about to send a king sized red and white quilt out to be quilted, Then I get my sleigh bed. Georg promised if I finished a quilt for it he would buy me a new bedroom set! I'm on it as we speak~~
If we do end up buying this place I am going to build a little linen closet here in the corner where that basket is. I have no place for sheets, towels and quilts.
Bella's crib is a source of many stubbed toes LOL it's very much in the way and she never sleeps in it the whole night, I should get rid of it but one of these days I may actually get her to sleep in it, LOL
My red and white bathroom! I LOVE it!
OK this is the massive, yet cute, pig collection. I have over 300 now, I have collected them here and there and every where. I thought is kind of cool that my Bella was born in the Chinese year of the pig! Isn't that fate!
Awe the dog pen, where I say hi to each of you and send you my love and attention. Yes there is a birds nest of cords and the PC is old as the hills[4 years] but It's mine and I love it.

Sissy in the swing, she loves it! Right!

Ok, so I sit here trying to select where to begin.... I know I said Monday to everyone and then here it is late Wednesday and I am just now getting around to sitting down and resting just a little! I don't know where to begin or what silly story to start with. So many things have been up lately. I am so brain dead at the moment, I could literally laugh hysterically out loud right now, and I am totally alone..... Well not totally, I do have the very talented Miss B here.

My Swimming pool baby~~

She was asleep and so I am using the lap top. She woke up just as I was thinking about what to write in my post. I decided to visit a few blogs for some inspiration so I popped into Miss Jackie's Painted Veil, ( Miss Jackie you have the best music!) when Bella woke up and heard Jackie's music start playing , well y'all don't know it but Miss B LOVES music and will dance baby type dances all night or day if you will turn on some tunes.... All I can say here is she is still boogieing LOL.. She has my right hip and leg occupied , so much that it is falling asleep....

I would like to say "Welcome home" to Jackie's Son In Law, Bill. He just came home from the war and I am grateful for Men like him, who give it all! I am sure you are just plain happy to be safe and home in your Families love and arms.....

OK so now its Thursday Miss B has went home and I am finally getting to finish this. Lots of things have happened since I posted so very long ago, for one Georg and Will have went to do a job in Alabama so I am home alone, I have never lived alone so this is all new for me. I like it, is that so bad to say? I have been cleaning my house, the really clean, the one where you can have a white Glover come run her glove on any thing and there will be NO dust or grime... It's been a long time since I could say my house was this clean. I have a few things to do and it will be done then I can play till Saturday the 17Th. when the boys come in for a 2 day visit and then they are off again....
It's quiet here but I am in hog heaven, I have the frilly stuff all out and its a girls house! I even put smelly candles around to make it smell purty.... LOL

A few weeks ago I got new living room furniture, it was raining when they brought it home. The door was open and the wind blew it shut, well I had just placed my right hand on the knob when it flew open and hit my hand pretty hard. I am sure I got a broken pointer finger, because I could not close my finger for weeks. It was also very swollen for a weeks or so. And it hurt( boo hoo) That was on a Saturday. The next Saturday I was slicing tomatoes and decided the knives needed sharpening, so my Son Will did the job for me. (he is also the one who kicked the door open) Lets say this: the knife slipped I cut my left pointer finger near off. SO I then had 2 pointer fingers, both unusable one week to the day..... Yes I am a klutz

I have been growing tomatoes! I have my first tomato almost ripe, I am waiting with bated breaths! I have not grown my own tomatoes in 25 or more years so this is turning out to be well worth my efforts! I have 25 or so tomatoes almost grown enough to eat! yippee~~ I am making a loaf of bread when they are ready- tomato Sammy's here we come!
Miss B and her back pack, She carries her toys and her monies in it. What a Gran Grand Daughter she is, I so love her. I think being a grand parent to her and a parent to my Kids is probably the greatest thing I have ever accomplished...really!Miss B with her monies and her Princess cell phone....

I have been on a self inflicted vacation of sorts...
Lots of things are happening here. Some good, some iffy~~
None the less, I have had a few health issues, some life changing moments and even a little boo boo here and there. I will be back really soon and promise it will be worth the wait.
I am packing my Husband and Son's suitcases.... yep! It's true, they are off to have another adventure, this time though, I will be home alone.... You may or may not want to stick around and see what trouble I manage... I also have learned in the past few weeks why it's not good to break one pointer finger and nearly slice the other off! Yep, they don't call me grace for nuthin! Bella is walking now, well running would be a better description!
I also learned the hard way that Wal-mart is the root of all evil!
For all my fellow Americans; are you looking forward to your tax relief check? have you spent it yet or are you saving it for food, gas and air?

It has come to my attention we women share much more with our male counter parts than we suspected! I found this out while searching for a Menopause fix and trust me it really opened my eyes to a mans crotch.... I use to think about not having a period and how wonderful that would be, well I've changed my mind and I want it back.... Right! The phrases "I've have a visitor" or Aunt Flo is coming" used to be funny, but after Aunt Flo permanently left I have been having a rough time, so Aunt Flo get back here before I ignite!
I have suffered from hot flashes for years now, up until a few months or so ago, I could deal with them, that was until I got the super duper ones. I am so hurt by Mother Nature for playing this dirty trick on me. I sweat while I sleep, I sweat while I sit, I sweat while I lay buck naked in front of a fan.... WHY, I wanted to know, so I did a search for it on the internet.... and this is what I found.....
For one thing women have :

Female gonads: The female gonad, the ovary or "egg sac", is one of a pair of reproductive glands in women.

The ovaries are the main source of female hormones (estrogen and progesterone). These hormones control the development of female body characteristics, such as the breasts, body shape, and body hair. Temperatures.... Yep my heat flashes are because my freaking gonads are broken... and they say a pain in the ass is bad!

Please ladies if you're dealing with this, go read and educate yourselves. If you still have your Aunt Flo coming round for a visit, count your lucky stars!

Of course 2 of my most favorite [man~ ~candy] in the world have chosen to be at her breast and call, as Olga would say. I had no clue that Fracas was carrying around such a torch for those two. I will investigate further and if anything eye popping comes about, at least you can say you heard it here first at the Sugar Shack! He's helping save the manatees or the world or even an old lady cross the street right now so wait, listen and twirl your thumbs, He'll be right back!]
Rotus found something so funny and well, very educational also, this week. here... I think once you see the whole story you will be rolling too!

Daddy P has this way of bringing on the water, well making you laugh so hard you could possibly piss your skivvies! Well it matters not, because since he's got new teeth, [I think] we can all party, He can't say much that any of us will understand, so I say: Party like a rock star! and don't forget your fixodent, polygrip or even Super Glue if ya got it... hey if nothing else, you 2 over there with your real teeth, can sniff the glue, purely for medicinal purposes, I don't know what that would be but ask any one of the DP's fan club card board cutouts and I'm sure we will offer up something useful! Anyway hop and skip but DON'T jump on over and have a laugh or three....

I went to an estate sale this past weekend while down south at the in laws house, It wouldn't have been so bad, but the poorly departed persons items, we were looking through were people we have known for eons. There's something about thumbing through someone you knows personal items that sort of freak you out just a bit. On the happier note I got some really cool stuff and its really good stuff!!

My Hubby also bought me a Lee Middleton limited edition doll at a yard sale for 5 $, its worth about 150.00 USD Wow! who would of thought a vinyl doll could be worth moneys!

I am cleaning my carpets this week, I'll be here and there, we also bought new living room furniture this past weekend... duty calls!

A not so "Happy Anniversary" to me....

Anniversaries are supposed to be a time for celebrations, laughter and happiness. For this one day, this isn't a time to laugh, I don't smile or make parties.... This is the day that my Son Bryan died in a car accident, 4 years ago. He was just 24, engaged and my oldest living child. I miss him, I always will and I have a piece of my heart missing...
I sure wish I could have one of them bear hugs you used to give me and the" I love you Mom" you would say as you were squeezing me tight.
I love you Son, So much has happened since you have been gone.
I quit using Cocaine for good, I know you would be happy.
Dad's job has changed and it was for the better.
Dad misses you EVERY day, He always says "If Bryan were here, we would"......
Papa carries your obit in his truck just so you're close to him, he really took it hard. He wanted you to come be a bug man with him....
Oma and I cry each time we talk about what a good Son, Grandson and Brother you were...
(why do all the good ones die young)
Grandma Burges has regrets and they haunt her, but I told her it's ok, in the end we all must face the facts of our downfalls.....
Jessica has the most beautiful baby Daughter, one you would adore....
Erin and Justin almost didn't make it, but they are still trying. Erin misses you Son, I don't think she was ready to say Good Bye...
William actually graduated High School and is now working hard in your place beside Dad....
I am still me full of dreams and no direction....

I'll be seeing you someday, maybe sooner than I think, when I get there, I hope you're waiting for me and I cant wait for that " I love you Mom" and that bear hug......

I guess in life we learn to give and for sure I've given lots.... I would hope that as you read this you don't feel sorry for me, or even have tears. What I hope you do is take from this the will to talk to your Children as much as you can. To love them as they deserve to be loved and to remember that list IS short and time is slight....

My Sunday Seven and a "I love you Dear Friend and I'm thinking of you"

This picture is one my Sweet and Dear Friend Sandy sent me earlier this week. She at the time sent it to me as a show off of her "Turkey Buzzard". We laughed at the nasty Buzzard on top of a really amazing tree....
One of her cats (she has 17 now I think) had surgery this week and soon after, passed away.... For most losing a pet is a sad thing, but passes soon and you move on. For some they feel like they have lost a child or a family member, I think Sandy is taking this really bad as her cats are like her Children only furry. I also know this has hit her hard because she elected to have the surgery done and he was other wise a healthy cat. She now, I'm sure, feels a heavy burden and I am here to say this "Sandy, Don't be sad for long... this too shall pass my Friend, I'm thinking of you and I have you close in my heart"..... So if you could and you don't feel silly will you keep her somewhere in your heart, I feel so sad for her......

My Sunday Seven.....
I'm starting something new.... I got this idea from a very special person I met while blogging. Bobby from Revellian, He does a weekly rundown of the best Blog posts he's read that week. He has suggested I do this, maybe I wont worry so much about my daily posts, I like daily posting and if at all possible I'll continue to do that but I liked, well loved the idea of highlighting the 7 fantastic, fabulous, fine Blog posts I find during the week. Since there are 7 days in a week, I decided that I will do 7. So here goes:

The first Blog Post I found that really caught my eye was at Christy's Coffee Break:

The Post was titled "Top 5 posts you wish you'd never written".
Christy weaves through this post, sighting the Blog Posts that she wishes she'd never written and in doing so admits faults with the posts or even human error of judgment. I personally have never read anything Christy has written that I didn't love and that hasn't kept me reading. Christy is one of the Bloggers I most admire because of the flow her writing takes. She does some pay per post Blogging too, but that to me, doesn't really mess with her abilities to keep you coming back for more. Christy always excepts peoples criticisms and I personally think they make her stronger as a writer. She also excepts the admiration of her readers with tact and grace. I will follow Christy anywhere she may Blog. You may also find her other Blogs interesting and useful:

Sometimes after I read one of the many titles he writes I find myself admitting I was left out when they handed out brains... He makes me want to learn, want to understand and want to write something smart. I end up commenting at his site more than not and I even manage to leave something funny or even witty. John C. lives in Florida, about 1 hour north of where I live, we have never met but I know He's always there, being John.

Have you ever read any of his "work" and I use that term loosely, He is a very funny man. He gathers readers, mostly women, around and after a read, we let the comments fly. I love visiting each day just to see what his brain has stormed up for that day. The other day he wrote a post entitled:

He tells of an issue with something I'm sure was important to him, but I never did gather what LOL.....
Daddy P is always on some sort of holiday and it's usually with his wife he lovingly calls, LoTG (Lo- the terrible Goddess) . He writes about his adventures or not. More than just an adventure, Daddy P is funny and he always leaves you wondering who created him and why..... No really, Daddy P is an institution, a purely magical being, sorta leprechaun in likeness.... By Golly, I bet he eats his Lucky Charms every morning, after all, they're magically delicious!
Daddy P lives somewhere I'm certain, yes he lives in the UK, I think....

The next Blog post I read that caught my eye was at Fracas.

I read so much this week at her place I have a hard time concentrating, I mean picking out just one post to talk about. The one that sticks out most is: "Woman stuck to toilet seat for 2 years"
OK, so this one is really out there, but Fracas pulls it off with flying colors.... It's really a story behind a story. (no pun intended) The story is real and I'm afraid most people have made it the butt of their jokes (again no pun intended). Fracas makes it clear that this isn't a joke and provides the evidence that it is real included is a link to a video. The Woman suffers from agoraphobia.
I would like to encourage everyone to read Fracas's post it's interesting, enlightening and informative. Fracas lets us know that there is always more to the story than meets the eye. I always enjoy reading Fracas's Blog, sometimes it's very funny and sometimes it's stuff that most don't worry with. Fracas is another Canadian (makes me think they have smart stuff in their water) and I'm glad to say she is my Friend. Keep writing and I'll keep reading Fracas!

The Post entitled: "Cookie Workshop in La Rochelle" was simply divine! Being your resident Sugar Queen I am always on the lookout for something sweet to write about! Sylvie takes us on the trip of cookie baking and lets us know, she wishes she could bake cookies the "American Way" but has never been able to. I, for one, am here to say those cookies looked wonderful and couldn't have been more American than if they'd been baked here. I say Viva La France! A secret that's no so secret if you read her Art Blog, is that Sylvie is an Artist and a good one at that!

Her post entitled "12Th and 13Th March of 1979" grabbed my eye because it was about shoes and showing off our legs. I love shoes, but as I stated in her comments section, I am not a high heel wearing woman.... I do have great legs for my height and weight though....
I wish I would have done as 70's did and kept a diary of my teen years, they had some rough spots, but all in all I had fun! 70's writes her Blog from her diary during the 70's and most of the time doesn't sway from that era. The 70's were a fun and free time in years and I'm sure most have good memories of them.... 70's you always amaze me with your fun and memory filled Blog!

The Orchid....

The King of all evil- well not evil, but naughty, bought me my first Orchid last night, He and the Prince promptly named it the penis plant... *sigh*. I don't know why they named it penis as it clearly looks like a vagina. Well if you ask me, but No one did....
I have always wanted Orchids but was very fearful of them. I have heard my share of horror stories, but I'm sure it all stems from the price, not the difficulty raising them..... This one, with all it's very genital looking glory, cost 24.99 US Dollars . Thats not much for the crab and shrimp dinner we had last night, but for a flower it's pricey, I had to shovel the King off the floor and put him in a cart and maneuver him out to the cashier and into the night air before he finally got over it. So it is with great pleasure I show you some photos of VirgineR, as I lovingly call her...

I've been putting things off, I don't really know what I'm waiting for. For the first time in ages I have been doing stuff for me. Like cleaning my house and making my jewelry, watching my shows on TV, Ironing my Husbands shirts (I know most normal people don't like ironing But, I do!)... Stuff I like. For so long, I lived life one foot in front of the other I had forgot what feeling good about doing something fun felt like. I am really gearing up to paint and to quilt again! I can't wait.... I know I must sound delirious, well maybe demented even.... I am but I don't care I'm finally doing what I want....

Wow, I really have been feeling under the weather! I thought having a flu and pneumonia shot would guarantee I wouldn't get the mess , but alas that's not true! As some of you know I have COPD, when I get sick I get really sick! This time was no different......

Yesterday I happened to catch a few minutes of Fuel My Blogs favorite hunks (Kevin Dixie and Paul Oflaherty) over at Blog TV. If you haven't watched, well participated, as it were, you should! You get to chat and watch the show, which is a hoot and can come undone into funniness at a moments notice. I never thought chatting could be so fun.
One of the contests running right now is to guess what a picture is,If you guess what the secret picture each week you get entered into a contest draw. The prize is your blog printed into a book. OK, I'm up to it again. What you may ask? Well, I started out on another venture, I'm making jewelery now. Glass beads and crystals so far. I am not doing any real gold and Silver yet but expect it to happen if this looks like it will be something that will gain capital for me. I have made 6 pairs of earrings so far and wow! It's not only been fun but they look gorgeous!

It's strange with no people here, except for Georg, William and I.... Of course Grandpa is going nuts missing Miss B! I am having fun just listening to the quiet and so far haven't gotten withdrawals pining for Bella! Gramps thinks I don't have as strong a feelings for her as he does but , He's a doof! I do miss her, I just need a break..... Georg's parents were really wonderful Grand parents, they kept our kids just about every weekend, mostly because they loved having the kids around but the added benefit was, we could party. They deserve a metal, I on the other hand, am not trying for Grand Parent of the year, I have tons of things I want to do and quite frankly, I like it being just me and not having to run after a kid. Of course our Daughter is feeling the stress of no one around to help and I'm quite sure she would die to have some alone time. (ERIN IF YOU SHARE THIS WITH HER I WILL BE FORCED TO SMACK YOU! LOL LOL)
I would love to help her but the trouble is we keep Miss B and they party and sleep and don't clean their nasty new home. Where did I go wrong, this girl acts like she grew up in a pig pen and it's so NOT true! Oh well I wash my hands of that.

Holy cow Batman, She's alive!

Yes, It's true, I am alive! I'm sorry I haven't been writing and fueling you all, I had Jury Duty Monday and then the rest of the week somehow was gone right before my eyes.... Remember when I said my Oldest Daughter, Queen Jr., was moving back home? Well that never happened and even though I miss her, I am happy She and her long time Boy Friend are trying had to make it work, I wish them love, happiness and lots of snuggles....
Well as far as the rest of my brood, Jessica and Robert rented a place, They moved out day before yesterday. While I miss Jessica and Bella, I am happy to have my household number shrink by 3.
With them moving it means we can start having steak again, we don't have to be quiet after 8 PM and we don't have to wait for the washing machine to be empty to wash our laundry. It also means that "the Boy in the spare room" gets to have all the attention to himself most of the time. Speaking of him, he was rushed to the hospital 3 days ago because he knelled down at work and a barnacle punctured his knee cap. They dug around and got all the barnacle out of it. He then found out he was hyper sensitive to the sun due to the antibiotics they gave him, so now not only does he limp, but has a really bad sun burn. Steroids and a shot in the ass for the allergy's and hes whining quite comfortably at work again.... Only William, although I was really glad they said he had a reaction because Georg might have thought he was dragging this latest injury out...... (trust me it wouldn't surprise me) I woke up this morning sick, my chest is tight and it hurts to cough so I'm drinking lots of fluids and taking it easy for the next few days.... I just wanted to let you all know I'm alive and I'll get well soon so that I can get back to my favorite pass time, Blogging!

I'm sorry it's taking me so much time to get back to normal here, and at my other Blog! I have so much to catch up on at home and online. Today I have to go to jury duty, lets hope it isn't a murder trial or I could be holed up in tiny Bunnell for virtually eons! I have always slipped out of this duty and am not looking forward to wearing my "Cross Your Heart" for more than 5 hours max...... What?

Bella Ballerina(my little niece Haylee and My Mom nicked her that) and her Bunny ears.... Her eyes are doing great since the operation, they still wander when she's tired.... Isn't she the most gorgeous baby, I could eat her up... She's a shoe in for Fuel My Blog's Beautiful Baby Contest, well every baby is the most beautiful.... Have you saw the pictures of Nicole Ritchie's baby, Harlow, She is adorable and looks just like her Mommy but has her Daddies pouting lips,... Just Sweet!

We went out Friday night to Georg's Boss's house for dinner. Had a great times, even showed everyone what a slayer I am at Pool. Took Desert:

OK so it's Friday, nothing special you may say. Well thats true during most years, but this year is a leap year and so this Friday is special...
I wanted to know more about Leap year so I dug up a little dirt on it:

The traditions of marriage proposals change, as a matter of fact, When the rules of courtship were stricter, women were only allowed to pop the question on one day every four years. According to English law, February 29th was ignored and had no legal status. So a crime on the day is no crime at all. (of course now I don't think they think this way)

It was the Romans who first designated February 29 as leap day. Later, a more precise formula was adopted in the 16th century when the Gregorian Calender fine-tuned the calculations to include a leap day in years only divisible by four.

In Scotland it is thought unlucky to be born on a Leap Year"s Day.
A law once existed in Scotland forbidding a man to refuse a proposal made to him on February 29th. Punishment for such an offense was a large fine.

A person born on February 29 may be called a "leapling". In common years they usually celebrate their birthdays on 28 February or 1 March.

For legal purposes, their legal birthdays depend on how different laws count time intervals. In Taiwan, for example, the legal birthday of a leapling is 28 February in common years, so a Taiwanese leapling born on February 29, 1980 would have legally reached 18 years old on February 28, 1998.

In some situations, March 1 is used as the birthday in a non-leap year since it then is the day just after February 28.

There are many instances in children's literature where a person's claim to be only a quarter of their actual age turns out to be based on counting only their leap-year birthdays.

So here it is, the facts of leap year, I'm sure I didn't get all of them but some of the more interesting ones....

He ain't heavy, he's my Brother.....

The best times of all with my Family, were spent talking to my Brother David, He's been clean now almost 2 years.....
He told me of a time when he was still new in recovery and how he got up early one morning to questions to himself if he was doing the right thing and if he could make it in recovery and if the steps he was taking were the right ones.
He said he got up at 6 in the morning one day, a very rare happening for him, he made his coffee and opened the blinds, all of this was new to him, as an addict he never saw daylight much less dawn. He went out on his back porch, the sun was just coming through the trees the light was brilliant. he stood there with so much racing around in his head. He was new to the sounds and sights of morning and he had many questions. He started taking to God, He was asking for proof that this was the right thing,for strength for understanding and for answers. At that very second he witnessed the incredible sun beaming through the trees in the most brilliant light show he had ever witnessed, he knew at that very moment, God was showing him his light and telling him that he was in the right place at the right time. He's never looked back he says and has been in Narcotics Anonymous ever since. He has the best outlook on life and I am so proud of his accomplishments. If you say that to him he becomes embarrassed, he says He never likes the words people use towards him for something he should have done years ago. David is bright and has so much to offer to others in the same place he once had been. For the first time in 20 years I actually enjoyed being around him. I didn't have to hide my purse, I didn't have to count my pills I knew and know he is better.
After returning home I have this wonderful feeling of amazement that my Brother is OK and life is good for him. He is finally the beautiful spirit we once knew......

I think I need a vacation from my vacation! I'm tired and have to get things settled here so Blogging will be light over the next week. I have lots to tell you and will get to it as soon as possible!

I had a great time, I also had a bad time, I guess it depends on how you look at it. Being around my Family reminds me of why I love them, but also why I'm glad I live on the other side of the state.... I had great times with one of my Brothers, he's been clean for 18 months now and for the very first time, he actually talked and kept it real. I think of all the things about this trip that I think were good, he was at the top of it!
I would like to say thank you to all who left notes for me and wrote me emails, you are just as important to me as my family... I will be back another day to make you laugh, think, maybe even cry.... Hugs to all....

Ok, so I've packed the ole wiener mobile ......

I am going on a trip people. I will be gone from Feb. 15- Feb. 25 . I'm off to visit my Family in Southern Florida. I will try to get online, but it's doubtful it will happen. This is a forced rest and relaxation trip. I have to have a break before I break. I will not be able to fuel you [at fuel my blog] and that makes me sad.
I will be doing a little quilting while I'm gone... Bet you didn't know I quilted, did ya~~

The Story Behind Valentine's Day

There are many versions of the story behind Valentine’s Day.

This one seems to be the most popular belief:

Valentine's Day started in the time of the Roman Empire. At that time, an emperor named Claudius ruled Rome. Claudius wanted to have a big army and he expected men to volunteer to join in. Many men did not want to fight in wars, as they did not want to leave their wives and families. Therefore not many men signed up. This made the emperor very angry. He thought that if men were not married, they would not mind joining the army. So Claudius decided not to allow any more marriages. Young people thought his new law was cruel. A Priest from Rome, Valentine continued to perform ceremonies secretly until he was caught. He was thrown in jail and told that his punishment was death. He had several people who visited his cell and one was the daughter of the prison guard. Her father allowed her to visit the cell. Sometimes they would sit and talk for hours.

The story goes that on the day he was to die, Valentine left his friend a little note thanking her for her friendship and loyalty and signed it, "Love from your Valentine."

1. The Magnificent: Name someone you absolutely adore, and tell us why.

My Grand Daughter, Bella. She always brings a smile to my lips and never judges me.

Why I don't do something with the talents I have, I mean I just never get inspired to make a name for myself, I give up to easily and I just don't have the "go get it" attitude to be successful.

Letting another persons [anyone not just one person] words drive me to spout off at the mouth. I let my temper get the best of me, I know you are shocked right now aren't you! It's hard to have issues with my past that still effect me now.

My computer, I have made more friends and had more fun with it, than any other thing in my life... I know that sounds silly but through my PC I live. If it were not for the PC I wouldn't have this Blog. since I am very proud of my Blog, I feel I take people on a journey of my life they would not other wise get to go on.

I always wanted to live in New York City, New York. I wish I was one of them career girls that had a cool life. I wanted to be an Artist, I wish I had the courage to have done it, life is funny, if you don't make the best of it when you can, soon you will be looking back with regrets.....

Once when I was working traffic control for a Heavy Highway Construction Company, I witnessed a bad accident. It was a very bloody bad accident. I dropped everything I was doing and RAN to the mangled car, inside were two very hurt teenagers, I helped the EMT's by holding the badly injured girls head while we waited for life flight. She was close to death and I was terrified, there was glass every where and I was getting cut by it, but I just couldn't let go, I HAD to help. that is the bravest thing I feel I have ever done.
