Bella turns 1 Sunday....
Our grandchildren accept us for ourselves, without an effort to change us, as no one in our entire lives has ever done, not our parents, siblings, spouses, friends - and hardly ever our own children.
Grandchildren don't stay young forever, which is good because Grampas have only so many horsey rides in them.
Bella and her best friend - Grampa.....
Bella-Is Italian for Beautiful
Kay- means Older Sister
Miss Bella Kay was born February 3 2007
She was 5 pounds 5 ounces
She was 18 inches long
She was full term, but small...Her birth created a rebirth of our family structure that only a being as special and beautiful as Bella could bring.....
It seems like just yesterday she was born, I shared her from the start with you all, You have joined in with us and watched her grow, so wont you join us and wish "Our" Baby Bella a Happy Birthday, You've come a long way baby!
Grammy and her sweet lil peanut....
When a child is born, so are grandmothers.
Mommy and her Baby Girl....
Who takes the child by the hand, takes the mother by the heart.
This bill shows how very small she really was....
She was so small Newborn clothes didn't fit her....
We first know she had problems with her eyes when she was around 2 months old.....
It didn't matter though. She was and is still beautiful.....
Her first real bath was in a cake carrier lid.
For her first Easter, she was a bunny....
Halloween was lots of fun and candy for her too
It was the day after Thanksgiving she had her eye surgery which corrected the eye crossing... The day after the surgery, she sat up all the way on her own the next day she crawled for the first time.
5 days after that she stood up by herself and NOTHING has slowed her down yet....
Her and the Pony Grampa brought all the way from Alabama for her, The Pony has been named Midnight.
Digging in her toy box seems to be a favorite pastime now....
Grammy and Belly as I call her now, she has started taking a step here and there and soon will walk. She has made such leaps and bounds in development since her Eye Surgery, I would encourage anyone who has a baby with this issue to have it done, its SO worth it...
So this is my Friday post, I hope you enjoyed it, I hope you know the love and honer of being a Grandparent.....
Everyone needs a little Sugar......
Peace!
